Withholding and Withdrawing Treatment from Patients in a Vegetative or Minimally Conscious State

York Chronic Disorders of Consciousness Research Centre and Court of Protection Practitioners’ Association.

 

We are pleased to welcome as our Keynote Speaker Mr Justice (Sir Jonathan) Baker

 

There will be talks from a range of experts covering the ethical, clinical, philosophical, economic, and sociological perspectives of withdrawing treatment from vegetative and minimally conscious patients – including a talk from a family member who has experienced the death of a loved one in a vegetative state from withdrawal of ANH.
